Here’s one of the sweetest girls I have ever MET.
This was last Sunday at the church.
Her name is Fenitza. ..
with our little darlin’ Sophie and another boy.
SO CUTE!!!

•March 18, 2008 • 3 CommentsSo there a lot of tramp cats around here… they are just strays that at first when I see them I’m like “Here kitty kitty…” Then they get closer and I almost gag… they are snarly and knarly….
I was just telling a friend about them and how they come out at night and fight and strut around like they own the place… (and don’t forget all the overly dramatic ROWLING and MEOWING) when guess who decides to show up… Orange Tramp Cat.
So I stalked him all the way downstairs into my neighbors area… (SO lucky I never got caught…) and here he is! Enjoy…
Needless to say he took off like a Cat out of Heck… but it was so funny stalking him… I have a feeling he’ll be seeing more of me.
…He looks a LOT like my long-lost thought-to-be-lost-in-a-snow-storm cat Orangie! Weird…
Here he is again… little does he know that I’m his biggest fan…
Sunday Lunch at El Tio – Traditional Mexican
•March 17, 2008 • Leave a CommentHere are some great dishes we enjoyed!
This was the chips and salsa… although the one on the right is some sort of a carrot salsa…? It was GREAT.
And here… are my thrilling Ceviche Tostadas!!! SO GREAT.
Now here’s Jaime’s dish- he was NOT happy about me taking the pictures of his food- he claimed everyone was staring and thinking I was crazy. Which is weird because I’ve never HEARD that before! ;P I just told him- “THIS is for my Texas blog- people NEED to see this!!” Ha! It’s a sizzling plate of Fajitas- the BEST chicken fajitas I have EVER had. Love it.
And here are the kiddos after we got back to the apt.
One more thing. I decided for my interview on Wednesday- I’m just going to drive there maself… so… pray for me!! YAY!!
Ciao for now!

•March 16, 2008 • Leave a CommentSo- I know I just finished the other post- but I wanted to showcase more of Jaime and Mario’s new shop.
Here’s the large shot of the whole building.
Here’s the office… needs a little something… like a desk or whatever.
There was a painting on the wall from the 80′s … but now it’s on MY wall. Thank you… there it is!
After church on Sunday everyone went to the shop to pray over the property and for the future business that will be done there.
And here we are! …I look like odd-man-out though. It’s amazing I got that picture! (I made him let me take it.)
It was a fun day!
What’s up in Texas?
•March 16, 2008 • 1 CommentHello! So here’s my first entry. And there’s me wearing my sunglasses at night… it’s true. I do it. Just for pictures though.
Anywho.
I created this blog for those who want to see what it’s like here… in Texas.
I have had some adventures here already… some that would make most people just crack up if they witnessed- knowing me.
News this past week- I have my interview with the Creative Group- on the 19th… I’m looking forward to blowing them away! (Pray for me.)
Enrique has his Spring Break next week- that will be interesting… I hope the two older ones BEHAVE. It was 90ยบ here this afternoon…. insane- the kids were just sweating… it’s weird. I sat out on the balcony with Sophie this evening… she was a little too tired to enjoy it- or to let me take pics with her. I got one but it was all blurry.
Here it is!! She’s noticeably TICKED. Oh well.
Also- I’m really trying to get used to living with neighbors directly across from ALL my windows… I really really wish I had those shades that start from the bottom- and open from the TOP… How’s it going to make sense to have them open at my KNEES??? I don’t get it… they are huge (the windows- nit my knees) – but I can’t leave them OPEN… because I’m a loud mouth and I don’t want to be known as the loud crazy white lady. Ohhhh…. brother.
Here’s my walk way! You can’t actually see OUR apartment- but that’s the apt. of the people that are across from us.
Here’s my DOOR. …Palm Tree… COOIO HUH??
Here’s Mi Tienda (My Store) It’s considered “The Latin H.E.B.” (HEB is a popular grocery store) It has live mariachi bands, outside produce with colorful tile floors, isles and isles of products that are so foreign to me! I’d LOVE to just spend an hour in there meandering around… I tried taking more pics but they didn’t let me. I’ll get them though… just wait… I’ll get them. I just need someone to watch my back! Ha! Kidding… kind of.
So. I hope you enjoy all the pictures! I think you can leave comments- if you can- please do!
And… yall come back now, y’hear??
